Another GOP primary night yields no surprises, but could it finally force one contender out of the race? Karin Caifa (prono: KAY-fuh) takes a look at Tuesday's five contests, and whether the Republican nomination race is really over.
--REPORTER PKG-AS FOLLOWS --
IT MAY HAVE LACKED THE DRAMA OF PREVIOUS PRIMARY NIGHTS, BUT TUESDAY DID MARK A TURNING POINT IN THE G-O-P PRESIDENTIAL CONTEST.
After 43 primaries and caucuses, many long days and not a few long nights, I can say with confidence - and gratitude - that you have given me a great honor and solemn responsibility. And, together, we will win on November 6th!

FIVE CONTESTS -- NEW YORK, PENNSYLVANIA, CONNECTICUT, RHODE ISLAND AND DELAWARE -- APPEAR TO BE THE END OF A LONG PARTY FIGHT.

BUT GINGRICH'S CAMPAIGN APPEARS TO BE RUNNING OUT STATES, OUT OF TIME, AND OUT OF MONEY AS THE CALENDAR MOVES TOWARDS MAY.
AND ROMNEY'S SPEECH SIGNALED THE FINAL PIVOT AWAY FROM BATTLING FELLOW REPUBLICANS LIKE GINGRICH, AND A FOCUS ON THE GENERAL ELECTION FIGHT.
IN WASHINGTON, I'M KARIN CAIFA.
