Arul Sundaram, VP of Business Strategy

As Vice President of Business Strategy, Sundaram drives strategic relationships and evaluates new business opportunities. He also oversees the company’s business intelligence system and SEO strategy. He helps IB devise strategies for competing successfully in the local digital marketplace.

Prior to joining IB, Sundaram spent four years with AOL, serving most recently as General Manager of AOL Local. He set the business direction for AOL Local, including CityGuide, YellowPages and Local Search. He managed a budget of more than $14 million and spearheaded cost reduction efforts, transforming a negative margin into a 28 percent margin within a year. Sundaram also served as AOL’s Director of eCommerce Strategy, where he was responsible for managing strategic initiatives for the retail, travel, automotive, real estate, careers and personals verticals. He also led the group’s mergers and acquisitions and partnership evaluation efforts.

Before joining AOL, Sundaram spent five years with Community Connect, Inc, a top 25 Web network and site publisher, where he led the build-out of the company’s first consumer subscription service. As General Manager for subscription revenue, he led the build-out of the company’s first consumer subscription service and assisted in strategic budget, investment and M&A activities. Sundaram also served as Director of Strategy, helping secure funding for the company and forming strategic partnerships with Amazon.com, Showtime and Time, Inc. He began his career as an e-commerce consultant with Proxicom and Accenture.

Sundaram received his bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University and his MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business. He lives with his family in New York City.

Jill Hooper, VP of Marketing

Jill HooperAs the VP of Marketing, Hooper drives the strategic direction of marketing and communications for Internet Broadcasting. She leads a companywide marketing effort to build perception of the Internet Broadcasting products and services in the market and building IB’s “leadership” position.

With more than 15 years of marketing experience in the high-tech industry, Hooper has been instrumental in helping businesses recognize the value of using marketing and communication strategies to extend their brand and drive business. Before joining Internet Broadcasting, she worked in product marketing for Thomson Reuters where she led the team to launch their successful online video suite of products. Prior to that, she led the product marketing division of a publishing company and converted the company’s business from a primarily print-focused production to an efficient online operation.

Hooper has spoken on numerous occasions about various facets of marketing including how companies can leverage marking initiatives to improve their bottom line. In 2006 and 2007 Ms. Hooper was Chairman of the Board of The zAmya Theater Project, a non-profit organization focused on increasing the awareness of homelessness in Minneapolis. Ms. Hooper graduated from California State University, Chico in 1993 and enjoys spending time with her family outdoors, cooking and entertaining.

Tony Dunaif, SVP & General Manager

Tony DunaifAs Senior Vice President and General Manager, Dunaif leads Internet Broadcasting’s Local Media Network division, which aims to grow IB’s relationships with broadcast stations, ownership groups and CNN. Dunaif also works to identify and develop new distribution partnerships.

Dunaif has helped IB leverage its assets against publishing partners’ strategic priorities. His goals include expanding the partner roster and increasing revenue per partner.

Before joining IB, Dunaif served as Vice President, content partnerships and international development at Brightcove, an Internet TV platform that enables content owners to create, publish and monetize broadband TV channels. Dunaif closed deals with leading media companies, executed long-range plans and identified growth opportunities.

Dunaif also held key management, sales and marketing positions during a 12-year career with MTV Networks. As Senior Vice President of Business Development and Strategy, he created new MTV branded channels, revenue streams and strategic plans. Tony also helped develop a variety of the network’s broadband, gaming, mobile, satellite radio, Hispanic media, VOD and HDTV initiatives.

Dunaif was a product manager at The John and Mary R. Markle Foundation, a nonprofit organization committed to media policy and interactive technology. He served as logistics director for the volleyball and gymnastics venues for the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, Spain, and has worked for a variety of New York advertising agencies, including Grey Entertainment and Media, Dentsu, and Wunderman.

Dunaif lives with his family in Brooklyn, New York.

Luke Edson, Chief Revenue Officer

Luke EdsonAs Chief Revenue Officer, Edson oversees Internet Broadcasting’s revenue-generating activities, including national advertising sales, business development, revenue strategy and advertising systems.

Edson is a seasoned online media executive who joined IB after a decade at AOL, where he held several senior leadership positions. Edson oversaw several major turnarounds and excelled in a changing marketplace. He drove significant growth in AOL’s client base and was responsible for delivering more than $300 million in online advertising revenue.

Edson served as AOL’s regional sales director in New York. He led a team that managed $80 million of advertising business, including many of the largest advertising agencies and clients in the country. Edson also served as AOL’s regional sales director in Dallas, doubling the region’s revenue over three years to more than $50 million.

Edson is an honors graduate from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst and lives with his family in Ridgefield, Conn.

Jeff Kimball, Chief Operating Officer

Jeff KimballAs Chief Operating Officer, Kimball manages customer solutions, site operations and product delivery. He aims to “win in local” by developing innovative tools, products and services that empower publishers to engage large Web audiences – all while serving advertisers at scale.

Kimball spent over a decade at AOL. He left as Vice President of Product Marketing and Strategic Alignment for AOL Europe. Based in London and Virginia, he was responsible for the communication, adoption and implementation of AOL’s product and technology strategies in Europe. He also directed the pan-European product marketing team, which was accountable for product and business strategies spanning the entire AOL European market.

 

Before he joined IB, Kimball was Senior Vice President of Product Development at Vive Computing. He developed the firm’s strategic product vision and created key inputs for consumer research and competitive analysis. He also led content planning and partnerships.

At AOL, Kimball held a variety of roles in product marketing. He was the business lead for more than ten major AOL releases, setting the business and product direction for the most successful software initiatives in the company’s history. Kimball also managed AOL.com, where in just over a year his team grew the advertising and partner content business by 50 percent, making AOL.com a $150 million venture.

Kimball also was President of Brilliant Nite Software, Inc., where he oversaw the creation and marketing of multilingual software applications. Kimball also worked for Technical Analysis Corporation as a management consultant and expert witness, helping win cases that saved consumers more than $2 billion.

Kimball graduated with Honors in electrical engineering from Brown University. He lives with his family in Edina, Minn.

David Lebow, President and Chief Executive Officer

David LebowAs President and Chief Executive Officer, Lebow leads Internet Broadcasting’s strategic direction by focusing on building, distributing and monetizing innovative products, creating win-win partnerships with customers and generating revenue for partners and the network. IB’s Local Media Network is growing under Lebow’s leadership.

Lebow has an extensive track record of leadership in media. As Executive Vice President and General Manager of AOL Media Networks, he helped create and execute the strategy that transformed AOL from a dialup Internet service provider into a consumer Web portal. Lebow oversaw several key areas of AOL’s business, including Local Search, Cityguide, MapQuest and eCommerce operations. He focused on user experience, revenue strategy and development of consumer applications. Lebow also played a key role in launching AOL.com as a free content portal.

Before joining AOL, Lebow held leadership positions with various media companies. He was Senior Vice President of Emmis Communications, a media company with radio, television, and magazine divisions. Lebow oversaw several radio markets and created several innovative research breakthroughs.

Lebow was Executive Vice President for the western region and Chief Operating Officer for product and strategy at AMFM/Chancellor Media (now Clear Channel Communications). He oversaw station operations in the western United States and was responsible for format and product direction in all the company’s radio markets. In 1994, Lebow founded Rating Point Management, a premier ratings analysis research company for the radio industry. AMFM bought this technology in 1997.

Lebow graduated from the Ithaca College School of Communications in 1983 with a degree in broadcast communications management.

Lebow and his family reside in Westport, Conn.
