National Sales Support Specialist- Saint Paul, MN- Req #004-08
Job Summary
National Sales Support Specialist is responsible for providing day-to-day campaign support for Internet Broadcasting National Sales Representatives. Working with internal departments, often driving for fast turnaround times, this position is responsible for all aspects of pre-sale and post-sale support, coordinating the efforts of sales, admaster, programming, design, content and TV production, as well as being a resource of information for National Sales.
Coordinates Pre-Sales and Implementation of Standard Ad Campaigns for National Sales
- Provides high level of customer service, and accurate and timely answers to questions from Sales reps and Assistants.
- Utilizes creative problem solving skills to meet client and internal needs.
- Serves as primary point of contact for National Sales. Acts as a liaison between department staff and the other departments within IBS.
- Coordinates all aspects of standard National Sales campaigns from start to end working with ad serving team, designers, and programmers. Works to continually optimize campaigns and ensure optimal delivery. Keeps Sales Assistants informed of all elements and other needed information.
- Coordinates mock requests for standard campaigns; completed by designers.
- Provides weekly detailed DART or third party reports for each client, for designated National Sales offices. Makes recommendations for ad optimization.
Coordinates Production on Sold Campaigns
- Coordinates execution of all online aspects of sponsorship campaigns that are sold.
- Gathers specifications for creative elements needed from clients.
- Works closely with Sales, Sales Assistants and clients to acquire creative elements.
- Coordinates all aspects of sponsorship production: graphics, programming, ad serving.
- Coordinates with Video and Editorial to ensure completion of all elements.
Reporting on Live Sponsorships
- Provides weekly detailed DART or third party reports for all Live Sponsorships. Makes recommendations for ad optimization.
Coordinates and Creates Pre-Sales Sponsorship Packages
- Identifies National Sponsorship opportunities, as they exist in current and future design layouts.
- Participates in brainstorming session with marketing, sales, editorial, and others as needed. Visualizes creative solutions to integrate sponsors on our sites that meet client needs.
- Writes up specifics for the creation of mocks of client content integration, “mini-sites”, contests, and sponsorship opportunities on our sites. Coordinates mock up creation with designers.
- Creates PowerPoint presentations detailing sales packages to use in client presentations.
Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities) Required
- Ability to creative problem-solve campaign related issues.
- Ability to develop strong interpersonal/professional relationships.
- Must effectively interact with all levels of internal departments and outside contacts. Excellent customer service skills are needed.
- Must be team oriented. Skill in organizing and prioritizing of work, and following assignments through to completion with little or no supervision.
- Must have good written and oral communication skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts to a variety of audiences.
- Strong ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple projects and requests simultaneously, within an intense, deadline-driven environment.
- Must be well organized with a high attention to detail.
Affinity for marketing and promotions, and familiarity with Internet advertising. - Ability to “think on your feet” to develop creative marketing/sales opportunities for a wide variety of businesses and site templates.
- Ability to coordinate with other departments (Business Development, Design, Sales, Technical) to complete projects on time.
Preferred Qualifications
- B.A. in Communications, English, Marketing or related field. Prior advertising work experiences a plus. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office 2000 applications. Prior experience working within a technology organization, preferably an Internet company.
- Strong knowledge and familiarity with the Internet a must.
